Nifty above 24,550, Sensex up 43 pts,Realty stocks shine

The domestic share market ended with modest gains on Monday as investors evaluated a series of Q1 FY27 earnings. Market sentiment, however, remained cautious following the introduction of the Closing Auction Session (CAS) mechanism last week, which had led to increased volatility during the final minutes of trading.Market participants continued to closely track developments surrounding the US-Iran conflict and the progress of the monsoon. Ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, along with its potential impact on crude oil prices, kept investors cautious and capped gains in the broader market.At close, the Sensex was up 43.27 points or 0.06 percent at 78,542.44, and the Nifty was up 13.15 points or 0.05 percent at 24,583.80.
Titan Company, Tata Consumer Products, Bajaj Finance, Shriram Finance and Grasim were the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included SBI, ITC , Eternal , De Reddy's Lab, and TCS.Sector- and stock-specific activity is expected to remain influenced by the ongoing Q1 FY27 earnings season.Realty, private bank and media shares advanced while PSU bank, oil & gas and pharma shares declined, according to agency reports.
The broader market witnessed mixed trends, with the Nifty Midcap 100 rising 0.6%, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 declined 0.3%.
Rupee Close:
On 10 Aug'26,the Indian rupee declined by 11 paise to settle at 95.28 (provisional) against the U.S. dollar on Monday  amid a firm greenback and a rise in global crude oil prices.Lack of any breakthrough in talks in West Asia put further pressure on the local unit, while FII inflows provided some support, forex traders said.
