NDA’s ‘Mangal Milan’ meet begins with patriotic fervour

The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) held its weekly parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday at the GMC Balayogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building (PLB), with MPs displaying the Tricolour and chanting slogans of ‘Vande Mataram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the gathering along with several senior leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. The leaders were seen waving the national flag during the meeting. The gathering is particularly significant as it is the NDA’s final parliamentary party meeting of the Monsoon Session, which is set to conclude on Thursday.
Parliament has witnessed frequent disruptions during the ongoing session, with Opposition parties protesting over various issues and the government facing resistance over several key legislative proposals.
With just two days left before the session ends, the ‘Mangal Milan’ meeting is likely to centre on the alliance’s strategy for the remaining business. Discussions are expected to include floor coordination, upcoming debates and efforts to ensure the passage of pending Bills. The weekly meeting, held every Tuesday when Parliament is in session, provides the NDA’s constituent parties with a platform to coordinate their legislative approach, discuss floor strategy and work towards consensus on matters coming up before the House.
The ruling alliance introduced the name ‘Mangal Milan’ for its weekly parliamentary gathering from the Monsoon Session.
