The international moot court competition at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Gandhinagar, concluded on Sunday with a grand valedictory session graced by Supreme Court Justice Surya Kant. The three-day event, themed “Global Economy and Financial Security Law,” brought together aspiring legal minds, academicians, and practitioners for intense legal debates and intellectual exchanges. In his address, Justice Surya Kant emphasized the transformative impact of moot court competitions on law students' careers. “Moot court competitions foster confidence, promote teamwork, and refine public speaking abilities, all of which are vital whether one aspires to become an advocate, a member of the judiciary, or an academician,” he remarked.Other guests at the ceremony included former Chief Justice of Orissa High Court Kalpesh Jhaveri, Shikhar Ranjan (Director, AALCO), and Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel (Vice Chancellor of RRU), among others.
The competition, organized by the School of Criminal Law and Military Law (SCLML), aimed to provide a global platform for discussions on critical aspects of economic and financial security law. Participants underwent rigorous preliminary scrutiny, showcasing their skills in drafting memorials and oral advocacy.
Beyond the competition, the event featured keynote lectures from distinguished speakers and collaborative sessions with international organizations including AALCO.The competition marked a significant milestone for RRU, emphasizing its commitment to nurturing future leaders in law. Recognized as an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, RRU continues to excel in legal and security education. The valedictory session concluded with the announcement of winners and closing remarks from the distinguished dignitaries, who commended the participants for their dedication and encouraged them to excel in their legal careers.
