The AP Samparl Kranti Express train will stop at Gwalior also. Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday flagged off AP Sampark Kranti Express following its new stoppage at Gwalior station amidst fanfare. The Hazrat Nizammudin to Tirupati bound AP Sampark Kranti (02782) reaches Gwalior station at 9.56 am while the down train from Tirupati to H Nizammudin is schedule to reach at 1.32 pm.
Speaking on this occasion Scindia said the modernization of Gwalior station work at an estimated cost of Rs 250 crore will be performed soon. It will be ensured to protect and preserve historical architectural legacy of old building while carrying modernization work. He lauded PM Narendra Modi’s leadership and initiatives for taking the country to the level where it can negotiate on equal terms with other developed countries in the world.
Scindia said he will leave no stone unturned for development and growth of Chambal region in MP. The country’s premium Vande Bharat train which was launched by railways under PM’s initiative will also run between Delhi and Gwalior soon. He recalled his father Madhavrao Scindia for contribution as railways minister including Shatabdi Express the model which he had seen in Japan earlier.
