Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri received the Sikh holy book of Shri Guru Granth Sahib, brought from Kabul in Afghanistan, at Delhi airport on Tuesday morning. Puri carried the holy book. In a tweet, Puri said, he is blessed to receive and pay obeisance to the Shri Guru Granth Sahib. Later talking to reporters, Puri thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for carrying out rescue operations.

He said, arrangements are being put in place to bring back the remaining Indian nationals. 78 people including 25 Indian nationals who have been evacuated from Kabul, have arrived in New Delhi from Dushanbe in Tajikistan this morning. The evacuees were flown in from Kabul on an Indian Air Force aircraft.
