In Maharashtra, senior leader Eknath Khadse has quit the BJP and will be joining NCP on Friday. Soon after the announcement was made by NCP leader Jayant Patil, Eknath Khadse himself confirmed the development and said he didn't get justice in BJP. "There were allegations of corruption made against me but nothing is proven. I was harassed by one leader. And didn’t get justice from the party.” Khadse said. BJP has also confirmed the development and said the party has received Eknath Khadse's resignation letter.
Khadse held former chief minister and leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis for his decision of quitting party, saying he was forced to take the drastic decision. The leader has also said that his daughter-in-law and party MP Raksha Khadse will continue working for the BJP and there was no other party MLA or MP joining him. He charged that I am upset with former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, who made the police fabricate false cases against me.
