Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) has been conferred the Best State Tourism Board Award at the prestigious India Travel Awards 2025 held at Le Meridien, New Delhi. The award was presented by Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, marking a proud moment for the state and its people. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, Culture, and Religious Trusts and Endowments, Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, hailed the recognition as a reflection of Madhya Pradesh’s growing prominence in India’s tourism landscape. “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the state government has resolved to make tourism the driver of development. This award energises us to strengthen Madhya Pradesh’s global identity, create jobs, and promote self-reliance through heritage, natural wealth, and folk traditions,” he said.
Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism and Culture, and Managing Director of MPTB,Sheo Shekhar Shukla, credited the achievement to the team’s dedication and vision. “Our goal is to not only build new destinations but also empower communities, safeguard traditions, and advance sustainable tourism. This honour motivates us to make Madhya Pradesh – the Heart of Incredible India – a destination where tradition, nature, and modernity thrive together,” he noted.
The award underscores MPTB’s forward-looking initiatives such as eco-tourism circuits, community-based homestays, experiential and adventure tourism, and modern hospitality infrastructure, which have together enhanced the visitor experience.
From its ancient temples and UNESCO World Heritage sites to wildlife sanctuaries and vibrant cultural festivals, Madhya Pradesh continues to offer travellers a unique blend of heritage, nature, and modern facilities. The recognition at the India Travel Awards 2025 reinforces the state’s growing reputation as not only the Heart of India but also a global hub for responsible, innovative, and sustainable tourism.
