Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman emphasized the potential of Kerala’s youth to become powerful drivers of Industrial Revolution 4.0, during her address at the 'Meet the Great Leaders' programme held at St. Teresa’s College in Ernakulam, Kerala on Monday. The event, organized by the Prof. K.V. Thomas Vidhyadhanam Trust, saw the Finance Minister lauding the role of young minds in shaping the future of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), and more. “This revolution, which is about to happen, is largely driven by young minds who are investing significant time researching and developing new techniques. Kerala, with its growing number of successful start-ups, is poised to lead this movement,” Sitharaman stated, stressing that the state's youth can become brand ambassadors for this next industrial phase.Sitharaman noted that the world is witnessing multiple industrial revolutions and India, with its talented youth, is uniquely positioned to emerge as a global leader in these transformations. “India's young innovators are generating out-of-the-box solutions. Their aspirations are high, and we aim to achieve in a decade what many nations have taken 50 years to accomplish,” she said.
