Justice Sanjay Yadav has been appointed Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court. Ministry of Law and Justice issued notification on Thursday in this regard. Justice Yadav was acting CJ of the Allahabad High court following retirement of previous CJ Justice Govind Mathur. SC Collegium had recommended his elevation on May 20 this year. Justice Yadav will have a very short tenure at the helm since he is set to retire on June 25. Born on June 26, 1959, Justice Yadav had enrolled as an advocate on August 25, 1986. He practised on civil, revenue and constitutional sides in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur. He also served as the deputy advocate general of Madhya Pradesh.
