Jharkhand Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MLA Hemant Soren (JMM) is representing Barhait assembly seat. The information will be given to the Election Commission. The Election Commission will issue its notification in this regard . However, the great relief for Hemant Soren is that he has not been debarred from contesting elections. In this case, Hemant Soren will have to resign from the post of CM for the time being. His assembly constituency Barhait seat will become vacant as soon as he resigns. After the issuance of the notification from the Election Commission, this assembly seat, which fell vacant, will have to be re-elected within six months.
Meanwhile all the parties of the alliance showed solidarity in the UPA meeting with Hemant Soren in a meeting held at C M's residence this evening . The leaders who came out of the meeting said that the letter is awaited from the Raj Bhavan. After getting the letter, we will decide the future strategy. in the event of Chief Minister Hemant Soren being forced to resign there is no possibility of any threat to the coalition government in the state at the moment. Apart from 30 MLAs of Jharkhand JMM, the government has the support of about 50 MLAs, including 18 from Congress and one MLA from Rashtriya Janata Dal. Whereas in the 81-member assembly, the main opposition BJP has a total of 26 MLAs, while apart from two MLAs of its ally AJSU, the BJP has been generally supported by two other MLAs. In such a situation, BJP has the support of maximum 30 MLAs including it's allies.
