The Passing Out Parade of the 75 RR Batch of IPS Probationers was special this year which was held on October 27, 2023 at the National Police Academy, Hyderabad. The Passing Out Parade began with a glorious march past of all the platoons. Platoon No. 2 was led by Isha Singh, a lawyer turned police officer who hailed from a prestigious family of lawyers and civil servants. Being the third generation police officer in her family, it was a prestigious occasion for Isha to lead her Platoon No. 2 in the Parade saluting the dignitaries on the Dias.Isha Singh was also awarded the Manipur Law Trophy and the Trophy for Excellence in Forensics. She was awarded the said trophies by Union Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah.Speaking to the press about her achievements, Isha said that it was her aspiration from day one to join the police. Having passed out with flying colours from the National Law School of India University, Isha argued landmark cases in her legal career, particular the case wherein compensation of Rs. 10 lakh each was awarded to the widows of sewage workers who died cleaning septic tanks. Isha said that law must serve a humanitarian purposes and her primary motive behind giving up her legal career in favour of joining the Indian Police Service (IPS) was to the society in better way.
