India:30 'unsung heroes' on Padma list

The goverment on the eve of 73rd Republic Day announced 128 Padma awards. The list incude 4 Padma Vibhushan,17 Padma Bhushan and 107 Padma Shri Awards. Of them, 34 are women, 13 awards are posthumous, and 10 awards are for persons from the category of Foreigners/NRI/PIO/OCI. Apart from politicians and eminent persons, some unsung heroes have also been chosen for this prestigious award. There are 30 unsung heroes who  have find place in Padma list. MHA released a list of 15 unsung persons on Wednesday.

The awardees were announced on the eve of the Republic Day by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
