Union ministry of Tourism is taking various steps to revive tourism in India,which was badly affeted during Covid pandemic. Indore based India Tourism orgaganised an India Travel Mart (ITM) in Bhopal from 17th to 19th March to make tourists aware of the possibilities of tourism in India. The State Tourism Boards of Madhya Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh, Himachal, Jharkhand and Kerala, various private tour operators, agencies and different hotels and orgavisations. participated in the event,which was inaugurated by R K Mishra, Assistant Director - India Tourism , Ministry of Tourism . He also met the media and widely discussed about progress on tourism in India and the initiatives of Ministry of Tourism, the travel agents and tour operators coming from all over the country were informed by the Tourism Board about the immense possibilities of tourism in India and the innovations being made in the direction of tourism.

The focus was to organise the B2B exhibition, which will serve as a platform to promote travel in India and will attract general public of the city as well as travel agents, tour operators and nearby cities.There is immense tourism potential in India, various action plans have been made to strengthen the tourism infrastructure..The Ministry of Tourism has been making various meaningful efforts to attract more and more tourists, encouraging creation of better Infrastructure through Swadesh Darshan & PRASHAD schemes. India Tourism is promoting various tourist destinations, focussing on Sustainable tourism and also creating awareness about tourism among students through "Yuva Tourism Clubs".
