INDIA rally: Rahul Gandhi's match-fixing jibe at PM Modi

The Opposition Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance(INDIA) organised a rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on Sunday to protest against many issues including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest. Several opposition leaders attendd the rally asserted that it is being organised to save the Constitution and democracy. This was be the first public meeting of the INDIA bloc leaders since the coalition was founded in June last year in Patna.
Addressing the rally,Congress MP Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack at the BJP,saying that the party's "400 paar slogan is not possible without match-fixing". He added that the Prime Minister chose "umpires" to go "400 paar"."Without EVMs, match-fixing, social media, and pressurising the press, they (BJP) cannot win more than 180 seats," the Congress leader said. We have Lok Sabha polls before us, umpires were chosen by Prime Minister Modi. Two players from our team were arrested before the match Rahul Gandhi said. "Congress is the biggest opposition party and all our bank accounts have been closed in the middle of elections. We have to run campaigns, send workers to states, put up posters, but all our bank accounts have been closed. What kind of election is this?" he questioned.

NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader Sharad Pawar, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, CPI general secretary D Raja, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, Jharkhand CM Champai Soren are among the leaders attended the rally in Delhi.Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, AAP leader and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav joined the 'Save Democracy' rally.
The Bharatiya Janata Party BJP hit out at the Opposition INDIA bloc rally at Ramlila Maidan in the national capital, saying it is not a save democracy rally as projected but ‘a save family’ and ‘hide corruption rally’. Briefing media at the party headquarters in New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said, these parties represent the crisis of credibility in Indian politics while the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi symbolises the politics of credibility and the track record of delivering on its promises. Jailed delhi CM's wife Sunita Kejariwal also addressed the rally.
Taking a swipe at Opposition parties, he said while the parties claim to have come together to save democracy but they are themselves dynastic organisations which never allowed others to rise. Mr Trivedi said, people will give them a befitting reply in the polls. In an apparent reference to the coming together of the Aam Aadmi Party with other Opposition parties, the Spokesperson said that people who trashed many leaders as thieves and crooks have joined hands with them and it is a strange and startling sight.
