India must be strong wealthy as world respects power:RSS

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday emphasized that the world acknowledges strength, and therefore, India must become both powerful and economically prosperous to secure its place globally. Addressing a national education conference titled ‘Gyan Sabha’ organized by the RSS-affiliated Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, Bhagwat said that it is time for India to evolve from being the "golden bird" to becoming a "lion."“It is necessary because the world understands power. So Bharat should become strong. It also has to become wealthy from an economic perspective,” Bhagwat said, underlining that strength and wealth are key to earning global respect.
Reiterating the significance of national identity, Bhagwat stated that ‘Bharat’ is a proper noun and should not be translated. “India is Bharat. That is true. But Bharat is Bharat. That is why, while talking, writing and speaking, be it personal or public, we should keep Bharat as Bharat,” he said. He added that the identity of Bharat is respected precisely because it is Bharat, and losing this identity would compromise dignity and security in the global arena. “If you lose your identity, whatever other meritorious qualities you may have, you will never be respected or secure in this world. That is the thumb rule,” he remarked.
The RSS chief also spoke extensively on the role of education in shaping a responsible and confident future generation. He stressed that education must equip individuals with the ability to stand on their own and serve society. “Bharatiya education teaches sacrifice and living for others. If something teaches a person to be selfish, it is not education,” he noted.
He further said that education extends beyond schools to the environment at home and in society. Bhagwat urged communities to reflect on the kind of atmosphere they are creating for the youth. “Society also needs to think about what kind of environment should be created to make the next generation more responsible and confident,” he said.
The event was attended by Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, several academicians, and Vice Chancellors of various universities, according to information.
