Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan's aide Shireen Mazari on Friday described the political developments after the Supreme Court's order,as a ‘judicial coup.’ Mazari is a former human rights minister in Khan's government. “A judicial coup happened last night down to ordering how & even at what time NA session must be held, ending parliamentary supremacy!". Mazari tweeted. Mazari also had a word of caution for the overjoyed opposition. “The long shadows hanging over this judicial decision think the game has been won but it has just started. The ppl know who sold their souls to US & to lure the money & in the end it will go to ppl's court, despite ECP's inexplicable reluctance,” the PTI leader posted.
The long shadows hanging over this judicial decision think the game has been won but frankly it has just started. The ppl know who sold their souls to US & to lure of money & in the end it will go to ppl's court, despite ECP's inexplicable reluctance!

Pakistan's powerful army has indicated that it is maintaining distance from the whole issue, saying it has "absolutely nothing" to do with the prevailing political situation in the country. Over the last week, Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has met the Prime Minister twice. Pakistan has spent over three decades under army rule and there have been four coups since it got independence in 1947.
