Hansal Mehta launches Abhishek Krishnan’s mytho-fantasy novel, 'Rise of the Fallen'

"I am elated that such literary works are launched, Hansal Mehta said, lauding the book as a very well-written one that brilliantly merges mythology with modernity. The extravaganza took place on December 17th at Title Waves, Bandra. Published by NuVoice Press and distributed by Simon & Schuster India, Rise of the Fallen explores an ancient battle between good and evil, offering readers an immersive experience into a world where Angels, Asuras, and Rakshasas clash in the vibrant backdrop of Mumbai. The book promises to captivate readers with its unique blend of cultural fusion and modern narrative.

During the Q/A round, Abhishek Krishnan shared his inspiration for writing the book. Having been a storyteller, producer, actor, and involved in various roles for over a decade, he was drawn to the idea of creating, building, and taking the initiative. The pandemic provided an unexpected opportunity for him to channel his passion into writing. Despite challenging times, the bizarre world he envisioned became the foundation for "Rise of the Fallen."

Ravi Chhabra, who has been seen in web series and shows such as LSD, Naagin 5, Kumkum Bhagya, Muskaan and will be seen in web series Honeymoon Suite 911, says that he is excited to see how the audience reacts to the story. He adds that it is a “perfect thriller”.“This story is full of suspense and is the perfect thriller. The audience cannot easily guess what will happen next. And this is why they will love it. My character's name is Amar. I'm the general manager of the Vaani resort. I know all the secrets of room number 911. I help Raaj and Ragini. On the other hand, I like Ragini as well. Mu characters kidnaps and murders girls, it’s totally grey,” he says.
Talking about his journey so far, he says, “One of my web series – Lakhan Leela Bhargav (LLB) - has been released on Jio cinema some days ago. I am a theatre actor as well. I have done more than 50 plays including street plays. If you are trained in your craft, nobody can stop you in this industry. I've given lots of auditions as part of my journey but it has not been easy.”
He adds, “I learned so much from this industry. I feel gratitude for my struggle as well. As an actor, I have a lot of emotion to express, and I can understand and observe other people's feelings. Pranitaa Pandit: 'I am happy being on screen'

Kavach actress Pranitaa Pandit says that she loves being an actor. And while she is aware of the uncertainty of the industry, she says that all careers are like that.“For me, I don't think I have chosen the wrong career because this is something that I enjoy doing. I feel happy being on screen so anything that translates into a happy career for me. It has highs and lows, so does every job, and so does everything. Of course, it gets a little extreme but the entertainment industry also commends people who love the extreme. Because that's a part of them and that is the sensitive side of them that they can portray. It's a very constructive way of showcasing your talent. What you feel happy doing,” she says.
However, an alternate career is a good idea, she says, adding, “I feel people should have alternate professions too. There is no harm, if you can, you must. When you are doing well, you have to think wisely and secure yourself and be aware that it's not going to last forever. Because again when there are lows, there's nothing; so you have to plan very well and you have to be smart about it and know the ups and downs of your profession.”
People think the industry is all about fame and money, she says, adding, “I completely believe that not all that glitters is gold and mostly it is not gold 99.9%. People are mainly attracted to fame and money and rarely do they realise that the struggle is real and very few people who are also blessed can achieve it, rest 90% people are struggling. This doesn't give you a lot of stability as an actor you are never stable and mostly other career options you age, you get better and promoted, and you get a higher rank, on the contrary in the entertainment industry as you age, you only go lower so that life of your career is very short and very short-lived and it has to be used very wisely.”
Talking about success and struggle, she says, “The struggle is real and it's there for everyone. You have to prove yourself time and again, and it's not at all easy even for star families. You have to constantly work hard. I think now people are more aware of things and they don't assume that there's no struggle in the entertainment industry.”
