Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Froday inaugurated the country’s longest and Gujarat’s first 'Dharoi Adventure Fest' at the scenic Dharoi Dam near Wadali in Sabarkantha district. The 45-day festival, organized by the Gujarat Tourism Department in collaboration with the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI), is poised to become a landmark event in the promotion of adventure tourism in the region. After inaugurating the festival, the Chief Minister visited the adventure site and personally experienced a boat ride at the dam. Following the ride, he arrived at the newly developed Tent City, where he formally inaugurated the site and reviewed its facilities.
The Dharoi Adventure Fest features over ten exciting activities, according to official release, across air, land, and water, catering to adventure enthusiasts of all ages. Activities include:

●Parasailing
●Paramotoring
●Rock Climbing
●Trekking & Hiking
●Mountain Biking
●Camping

Beyond the adrenaline-filled adventures, the festival also offers a diverse array of experiences such as evening cultural programs, star gazing sessions, astronomy camps, nature walks, and photography tours — allowing visitors to connect with the region's natural and cultural heritage.The initiative reflects the state's commitment to diversifying its tourism offerings and enhancing infrastructure to support eco and adventure tourism. The Dharoi Dam, known for its scenic beauty and tranquil waters, is now being developed as a key destination under Gujarat's tourism roadmap.

The Dharoi Adventure Fest is expected to attract thousands of tourists, boosting local employment and positioning Sabarkantha as a prominent adventure tourism hub in India.
