The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Tuesday, approved 22 proposals, including the development of four link expressways, cashless medical treatment for non-teaching staff in educational institutions and the establishment of a cyber security operations centre and the establishment of a robotics and AI park in Greater Noida. The park will be  spread over 69.52 acres, estimated to generate more than 1 lakh direct and indirect jobs and add Rs 2,000 crore annually to the state's economy at full scale. The proposed platform for Robotics and AI Growth Through Technology and Innovation (PRAGATI) Park aims to promote indigenous robotics manufacturing, accelerate AI-based technology development and create an ecosystem conducive to investment and research in the sector, Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said while briefing reporters after the Cabinet meeting in Lucknow. "The park will be developed in two zones. The first zone, spread over eight acres, will be developed and operated through a special purpose vehicle (SPV) under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. The Greater Noida Authority will hold a 26 per cent equity stake in the SPV. On the other hand, the selected industrial partner will hold the remaining 74 per cent," Khanna said.

The Yogi Cabinet also approved four link expressway projects spanning around 322 km at a combined cost of Rs 17,542.06 crore, with the state government set to bear the expenditure and the projects targeted for completion within three years. Khanna said, "the projects would be developed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) in the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) mode." The four projects are -- Farrukhabad Link Expressway, in two packages covering around 90.90 km; a 50.94-km link expressway connecting the Agra-Lucknow Expressway with the Purvanchal Expressway; the Jhansi Link Expressway, in two packages spanning around 106 km; and the Jewar Link Expressway, in two packages covering around 74 km.
