Govt, farmers to meet on Dec 9 for another round of talks

The government and farmers' leaders will meet again on December 9 for another round of talks over the farm laws. According to agency report,  Narendra SinghTomar, union agriculture mnister , said that the govt wanted some firm suggestions from farmers' leader, but could not get those, now we will meet again on Wednesday December 9. The four hours fifth round of talks between the two ends in New Delhi on Saturday. The meeting yielded no breakthrough on core issues. The central government has told the farmers' leaders that the two sides can meet again on Wednesday for another round of talks. During the meeting the agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar said, "I appeal to all of you to kindly ask senior citizens and children, at the protest site, to go home." 

Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Narendra Singh Tomar and Piyush Goyal met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in New Delhi  on Saturday hours ahead of the talks between the government and protesting farmers over the contentious farm laws.
