Global leaders focuses on future of technology & global collaboration

Nasscom hosted the inaugural edition of Global Confluence 2025 in New Delhi on Thursday bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, and global stakeholders to strengthen international collaborations in technology-driven trade and innovation. The event, themed "Forging Global Alliances for Tech Leadership," served as a key platform to enhance engagement between technology firms, the Indian government, and international counterparts, with the aim of expanding tech service exports across key global markets.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal addressed the gathering, highlighting strategies to boost service exports with a focus on the tech sector. He also presented the SME Inspire Awards, recognizing excellence in the small and medium enterprise sector. Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & IT, reaffirmed India's commitment to strengthening global trade alliances and technological partnerships in his special address.
Nasscom, as part of its global collaboration strategy, has according to information, launched the Global Country Councils to strengthen engagement with international markets by bringing together technology leaders, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. These councils aim to drive innovation, shape policy alignment, and expand trade and investment opportunities, reinforcing India’s role in digital transformation.
Distinguished speakers at the event included Rajesh Agarwal, Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce, Felix Neugart, CEO of NRW Global Business, Dr. Manas Human, CEO of Nagarro, Diego Morales, Secretary of State, Indiana, USA, and Rajesh Nambiar, President of Nasscom. Their discussions emphasized the importance of cross-border partnerships in fostering technology-led economic growth.
Speaking on the occasion,Rajesh Nambiar, President of Nasscom. highlighted the need for strong international alliances in an increasingly interconnected world, stating that innovation thrives on collaboration. He reiterated Nasscom’s commitment to enabling cross-border partnerships that drive technological progress, economic growth, and digital transformation.
Key discussions at the forum included:
•Technology & Geopolitics Panel: Diplomats and industry leaders, including representatives from Australia, Germany, the UK, and India, discussed how global power dynamics influence technology.
•AI and the Future of Intelligent Systems: A session led by Abhishek Singh, Additional Secretary at MeitY (India AI Mission), and industry experts from leading tech firms explored AI’s transformative impact on industries.
•Indo-German Technology Corridor: Felix Neugart, CEO of NRW Global Business, spoke about business and academic collaborations shaping growth in Europe.
•Academic Partnerships for Innovation: Experts from University of New South Wales, Atlassian, Tech Mahindra, and Investment NSW examined how universities contribute to scaling businesses globally.
•Global Market Strategies: Business leaders shared insights on expanding into markets like Germany, Australia, ASEAN, and the U.S.
•Navigating the U.S. Market: A session featuring industry experts from TCS, USISPF, and Datafoundry discussed policy shifts and regulatory trends impacting Indian companies.
