PNG Regulatory Board (PNGRB) is prthaps the only regulatory authority who has no power to decide natural gas pricing. The body was established in 2006 since then it is waiting for the govt notification in this regard. According to sources , at the time establishment the govt made a provision to give price regulations authority, but it is yet to be notified. NG prices govt decides. However, TRAI has this power. This Regulatory Board comes under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas..PNGRB has been mandated to regulate the refining, processing, storage, transportation, distribution, marketing and sale of petroleum, petroleum products and natural gas, excluding production of crude oil and natural gas so as and to ensure uninterrupted and adequate supply of petroleum, petroleum products and natural gas in all parts of the country. The PNGRB consists of Chairperson, a Member (Legal) and three other members.
