For the first time in the separate state of Telangana, the Congress party has won power. Congress Party, which has been out of power for almost 10 years, is going to rule the state for the first time despite the name of having given Telangana. True to the predictions of the exit polls, the Congress party has won the Telangana Assembly elections this time. Voters who have sung the end of 10 years of BRS (earlier TRS) rule have castigated the party. The Congress, which has secured the majority of seats 64 out of 119 required to form the government, is now left to start governing. With this, there was jubilation in the ranks of the vuru-wada (villages and towns) Congress. Activists and leaders celebrated by bursting crackers. In this context, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka spoke about the success of the Congress. He commented that the rule of aristocrats is gone in Telangana, and people's Telangana has come. He congratulated all the winning candidates on this occasion. He said that the promises made on behalf of the Congress will be strictly implemented. Moreover, he made key comments that he would consider it a responsibility if given the post of Chief Minister, he said. Also BRS Working President K.Taraka Rama Rao also responded to the election results. Accepting defeat, he made a post on Twitter. He congratulated the Congress party for its victory on this occasion. While BJP won 8 seats in these elections against only one seat in 2018, AIMIM won 7 seats, CPI with Congress alliance secured 1 seat.
Meanwhile, after Congress' resounding win in Telangana, a party delegation on Sunday met Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to claim the formation of a government in the state with 65 leaders.
TPCC President Revanth Reddy dedicates party's victory to martyrs
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Revanth Reddy spoke to the media after people of Telangana gave Congress party the mandate in the state. After being congratulated by party workers, supporters and several other leaders, Revanth Reddy spoke addressed the media. He stated that the Congress party had decided to dedicate the party's win to Telangana martyrs. Thanking the peeople of Telangana for giving a chance to the Congress party, Revanth stated that Pragathi Bhavan will be renamed Dr BR Ambedkar Praja Bhavan. He also promised that the gates of the new Secretariat building will now be thrown open to the public.
