CM Mohan Yadav pitches Madhya Pradesh as investment hub in Dubai

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav arrived in Dubai on Sunday for a three-day visit to the UAE, with a focus on attracting global investment and showcasing the state as an emerging investment destination, according to agency reports.
Yadav is leading a Madhya Pradesh delegation at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress, being held in Dubai from September 7 to 9. The Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the Madhya Pradesh Pavilion and address an investment session later today. He will also meet representatives of major business groups in Dubai and Sharjah to highlight the state’s industrial and tourism potential.
Outlining the objective of the visit, Yadav said Madhya Pradesh is seeking investments across sectors including logistics, mining, agriculture, food processing, textiles and artificial intelligence. Such investments, he said, would help boost trade and create new employment opportunities for the state’s youth.Highlighting business reforms, the Chief Minister said more than 900 outdated laws had been abolished, while several policies were introduced to simplify procedures and reduce delays. These measures, he said, have helped accelerate project implementation and improve the business environment.
During the visit, Yadav met Arab Parliament President Mohammed Ahmed Al Yammahi and invited him and members of the Arab Parliament to participate in and invest in the Global Investment Summit that Madhya Pradesh is scheduled to host early next year.
Yadav also inaugurated a special exhibition showcasing the state’s ‘One District One Product’ initiative, aimed at connecting unique local products with global markets and international buyers. The exhibition featured Betul’s Bell Metal Craft, Chanderi handlooms from Ashoknagar, Ujjain’s Batik art, Maheshwari Sarees from Khargone and Gwalior carpets, among other products.

The Chief Minister said a strong economy is built on the foundation of products created across different districts and highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s diverse range of local products and traditional crafts.Later in the evening on Sunday, Yadav participated in “Tycoons by AIM Congress”, a gathering of policymakers, investment leaders, sovereign wealth executives, unicorn founders and entrepreneurs.
