Its appropriate to call this new Congress government SiddaKumar sarkar taking first half from CM and second half from DCM's name. People of Karnataka have plenty of hopes on this new double bull powered by government as the previous BJP government ditched them. Even till today they don't have voice to counter 40% corruption. It doesn't mean that SiddaKumar sarkar is going to be fully cleanest government but people wish it to be above the present mark in delivering goods to their constituents. It would be a joke if any one talks about clean administration in SiddaKumar sarkar. Because this double engine is fuelled from PM Modi's good old allegation of 10% sarkar. We have to imagine our common man's plight of moving from 10% to 40% and may be even beyond it. Instead of going to discuss the merits and demerits of this corruption saga let us concentrate on the pros and cons of delivering the approved guarantees made by this double bull powered sarkar to the people of Karnataka.
There are five free guarantees waiting to be implemented immediately. People who voted this government has already demanding electric bills, bus tickets to be paid with immediate effect. They are impatient. At many villages voters are refusing to pay bus fare and current bills. This is just a sample of voters resistance towards delayed tactics. SiddaKumar sarkar is weighing the options in front of it as to how to go about it. Its confused. In his first press briefing after the first cabinet meeting CM Siddaramaiah announced enthusiastically that his government has principally accepted to implementing the free guarantees given to the voters. In his second and cabinet meeting after expansion of ministry sanction was accorded to the said guarantees perhaps with conditions. Opposition wants no conditions to be tagged. They want guarantees to be implemented in their bear nature. Its not easy to SiddaKumar sarkar to mobilise resources of 65 thousand crores in the ensuing budget next month. Still Siddaramaiahis not sure of how to fund them. But where is the way for them to fund these free bees. He hopes to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give back around 5 thousand 500 crores of Karnataka's share of taxes collected. Along with additional 5 kg rice to each person. This may not be easy to get and only triggers the gap between both the governments.
