Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose resigns

West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Thursday resigned from his office after 3.5 years, Lok Bhavan official informed. The development has come months before the Assembly Elections in the state. The schedule of the polls is yet to be announced.“I have spent enough time at Governor's office,” Bose told PTI. He was in Delhi, when he stepped down. The resignation comes just weeks before West Bengal is due to head into the assembly polls, with the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) looking to secure a fourth straight term and the opposition BJP looking to topple chief minister Mamata Banerjee.
