Bastar box office does double day 1 with half the theatres

Bastar the Naxal story starring Adah Sharma and an ensemble cast opened at 50 lakhs with very few theatres. The figure was low considering the opening of The Kerala Story with the same team starring Adah Sharma in the lead which opened at 8 crores and went on to being the highest female grossing film of all time with 303 crore. Point to be noted is Bastar opened to very few theatres and on the first day itself a few theatres called for it to be banned. Bastar has released in very few screens .
There is also news of Adah being summoned to court for her character mouthing some dialogues to a politician who sections of society say is P. Chidambaram .On day two Bastar had half the theatres ir had on day one but it still managed to do more than double the collections of day one and did Rs 1.25 crores. Audience and many critics have given the film a thumbs up and Adahs strong performance is being lauded but the film might be pulled out of theatres next week due to some controversial scenes.Let's wait and see. Hansal Mehta to shoot Applause Entertainment produced web series Gandhi in London? 

Hansal Mehta directed and Applause Entertainment produced web series Gandhi shoot began in January this year. The series is based on historian and author Ramachandra Guha's books - Gandhi Before India and Gandhi: The Years that Changed the World.According to a source, "They are shooting at Bhor, Maharashtra. After completing the India schedule, the team will shoot in London."
The source also revealed that the series will release in mid next year. Revealing more details about their time abroad, the insider added, "The shoot in London is of utmost importance to capture the moments where Gandhi gained his experience of the world and completed his education. It will be a major chunk of the script."Actor Pratik Gandhi will play the titular role, marking his third collaboration with the filmmaker, as well as Applause. Sharing details of the cast, the source adds, "Addinath Kothare has joined the series to play the pivotal role of (freedom fighter) Gopal Krishna Gokhale." While the filming is on, more details on this front are awaited.

Simplicity is the main USP of the show: Sneha Raikar on Udne Ki Aasha

Sneha Raikar is currently seen as the lead character Sailee’s mother in Rahul Tewary Production House’s debut show, Udne Ki Aasha. The show went on-air on March 12, and the actress says the USP of the show lies in its simplicity, which also makes it very relatable.Talking about the story, she said, “It’s a very simple story of common people. When you see our get-up and costumes, you will see that they're so common and natural. There are some scenes where we haven’t even done makeup. Simplicity is the main USP of the show, and you can connect with it as you will feel it’s about your home or neighbourhood and that’s the USP.”
She also asserted that the title itself is very positive and is all about dreaming and conquering your dreams with your passion and dedication. “If you have a goal and you want to achieve it, then hard work is the ultimate solution, and Udne Ki Aasha is about that. In Udne Ki Aasha, her character is very simple and belongs to a lower-middle-class family. She added, “We sell flowers and sugarcane juice. My look is very simple. Women like us don’t have handkerchiefs or napkins; we use our pallu for everything. I've observed these habits in movies and among the women around me, and I've tried to incorporate that body language and those gestures.”
Speaking about her co-stars, she revealed that Neha Harsora, who plays Sailee in the show, was her on-screen daughter in a show before too. “We already share a strong bond and are enjoying ourselves here. My husband in this show, Ravi Mahashabde, was also my husband in our previous project Thodasa Baadal Thodasa Paani, so we already have a connection. He is my favorite co-star,” she said.
“Working with Neha is amazing. She is open to all suggestions and excels in her work. We constantly exchange suggestions with each other. Each character is developing remarkably well. There's a lot of positivity on the set, making you look forward to coming to work every day,” she added.
