Tech giant Apple has confirmed the launch of its first-ever retail store in Bengaluru, scheduled to open on September 2 at the Mall of Asia in Hebbal, north Bengaluru. Named Apple Hebbal, this will be the company’s third flagship outlet in India after Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in Delhi, both inaugurated in 2022.
“At Apple Hebbal, customers will be able to explore Apple’s complete product lineup, experience new features, and receive expert support from Specialists, Creatives, Geniuses, and dedicated Business teams,” Apple said in a statement. The store will also host Today at Apple sessions, offering hands-on experiences and creative workshops.According to information,the barricade for the new store was unveiled this morning, showcasing vibrant artwork inspired by the peacock, India’s national bird. Apple said the design reflects its celebration of the Bengaluru launch and marks a milestone in its growing retail footprint in India.Apple’s expansion in India comes at a time when its major markets like the U.S. and China show signs of saturation. India, now the world’s fastest-growing and second-largest smartphone market, has emerged as a strategic hub for the company. Apple’s physical and online stores in India are already driving strong double-digit revenue growth.
According to industry estimates, Apple BKC and Saket stores generate between Rs22 crore and Rs25 crore in monthly revenues. Alongside physical outlets, Apple continues to grow its digital presence through its e-commerce website and app, as well as services like Shop with a Specialist over Video, which allows customers to consult Apple experts virtually while ensuring user privacy.In FY24, Apple India’s revenue surged 36 per cent year-on-year to Rs67,122 crore, underlining its robust performance in the subcontinent. The company has plans to open three more retail outlets in Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai later this year, further strengthening its presence in the country.
