Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday has said that BJP Governments in Assam, Tripura, and now West Bengal have implemented strong policies to secure these borders and prevent demographic changes driven by illegal migration. Shah was addressing the Prahari Conference at the BSF’s Sanchu post near Bikaner in Rajasthan. Shah praised the Border Security Force (BSF) for its role during Operation Sindoor saying the force did not only guard the border firmly but also boosted the morale of the people living in frontier districts. He stressed creating a four-pronged grid comprising the BSF, the Army, administration, and vigilant citizens to make border security completely secure. He said, with this four-pronged grid, threats emerging on the border can be countered with full strength. Shah said that the country’s security framework has undergone major transformation under the Narendra Modi led government. He said, the armed forces and paramilitary forces have been modernised, while a tough stance has been maintained against terrorism.
