Amit Shah doesn't know history, keeps rewriting it: Rahul Gandhi

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said the Home Minister has a "habit of rewriting history." "Pandit Nehru gave his life for India, he was in jail for years. Amit Shah is unaware of history. I cannot expect him to know history, he has the habit of rewriting it," Rahul Gandhi told reporters outside parliament on Tuesday.Gandhi said, "Pandit Nehru dedicated his life for this country. He was in jail for years, Amit Shah ji does not know history. I don't expect that he would know history as he keeps rewriting it." Gandhi further reiterated the demand for the caste-based census and accused the government of not discussing the same. He said that the whole matter was about distracting the nation from the persisting issues like caste census and in whose hands the country's money is going.

Speaking in the Rajya Sabha on Monday, Shah had blamed Nehru for the Kashmir problem, pointing to the "mistakes" of ordering an "untimely" ceasefire and taking the issue to the United Nations.
