Adaa Khan: Breaking fast with my family is a cherished tradition during Ramadan

Actress Adaa Khan says that every Ramadan is special to her as she makes sure to do all the rituals with her family. She adds this holy month also helps her introspect and think of all that she has achieved so far, and all that she needs to work for.“It's a time of spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and gratitude. The month serves as a reminder to prioritise my faith. Ramadan inspires me to be more mindful of my words and deeds, to practice patience, kindness, and empathy in all aspects of my life. It's a time to cleanse my heart and soul, to seek forgiveness for past wrongs, and to strive for personal growth. Throughout the holy month, I often find myself undergoing profound personal transformations. Ramadan serves as a period of self-reflection. I become more mindful of my actions, strive for greater compassion and generosity” she says.
She adds, “I do observe fasting during Ramadan to the best of my ability. However, due to health concerns like low blood pressure, I sometimes need to adjust my fasting schedule, especially when balancing work commitments. I try to fast as much as I can.”Talking about special traditions during this holy month, she says, “One of the most cherished traditions during Ramadan in my family is that we wake up in the morning, we eat sehri, offer prayer, go to work and the good thing about it is that the entire family does it together. Especially the prayers, we make sure to gather together. It is an extremely blessed, holy, and auspicious month. As much as possible we pray, we donate and everything. Being with your family is what matters the most. For Iftar, we visit a friend's or my aunt's home.”
She adds, “Breaking fast with my family is a cherished tradition that brings us closer together. We gather around the iftar table, sharing stories, laughter, and gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon us. I remember this, When I was nine years old, I had my first roza. A child breaking their first roza is a reason for celebration for the entire family. I experienced it, too. So, when I kept Roza, it was somewhat of a celebration. Everyone, including family and friends, was welcomed home to celebrate. Managing fasting with work commitments can be challenging, but I prioritise self-care and listen to my body. While working, I usually avoid doing fasting because I have a low BP issue. So, when I'm not working and I'm home, I make sure to fast.”
Talking about Ramadan special foods, she says, “During Ramadan, I enjoy indulging in traditional foods like dates, fruits, and wholesome dishes prepared with love. These meals not only nourish the body but also the soul, adding to the richness of the fasting experience. I only make desserts like falooda and custard. It's easy! My family and I, we eat more fruits, we ensure that our food choices are healthy, and we stay away from deep-fried items as much as possible.”
Sonal Panwar: I feel like I was always a part of this show

Binaiferr and Sanjay Kohli’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, which is produced under their banner Edit II, completed five years on the telly recently. Actress Sonal Panwar, who plays Malaika in the show, joined the show three years ago but feels as if she was always there.Sharing her excitement, she said, “It feels amazing, in every sense. I also feel like I manifested this character. To me, it’s been three years, but I feel like I was always a part of this show. I’m just thankful and grateful.” She also praised the producers, and said they have created the best working environment on TV. “We very smoothly do our shifts, no extra pressure, and the producers are very cooperative, in everything. I’m just grateful that they have trusted me to do something like this,” she added.
Speaking of her character, she mentioned that for Malaika to become the Assistant Commissioner of Police was the most surprising twist for her, and added, “It’s been quite a wonderful surprise to me as I am exploring a completely different character, which I haven’t done till now.”
Sonal also stressed that every character goes through a graph in daily shows and credited the writers of the show for establishing all the characters differently since the beginning. “It helps you get into the character very quickly, of course, the prep needs to be done, but I find it quite smooth when it comes to my character, as it’s been clear since the beginning,” she said.
And thanks to that, she doesn’t even feel the pressure of the success the show has achieved so far. “The reason is the fabulous writing, and the show has already made a place in the audience’s heart. It’s not any other daily soap where a few cast members are just fillers, in my show, every character has their own story and importance,” she said."I'm truly grateful to be a part of such a lovely show that makes people laugh. And I don’t feel any pressure because I am very well aware of the content that we are giving, and I enjoy and love my work like anything, so pressure really doesn’t come into the picture,” she concluded.

'Yodha' actor Vishal Sudarshanwar speaks about his working experience in the film

Actor Vishal Sundarshanwar, whom we have seen in films like Mardaani 2 and Thackeray, is currently seen in the Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna starrer Yodha. The film is making good money at the box office.Sharing his experience Vishal says, "In "Yodha, I portray the role of Indian Air Force JCO Sharma, stationed at the Ground Controlling Unit of IAF. When a passenger flight is hijacked, the Air Traffic Control escalates the matter to our unit. Alongside my senior officer, portrayed by Tanuj Virani, I am tasked with investigating and stopping the hijacked flight. The journey to landing this character was quite unique. Immediately after "Yodha" was announced, director Sagar reached out to me expressing his desire to collaborate. It was a humbling experience to have him place his trust in me as an actor and offer me the opportunity to play such an impactful role in Yodha. I am truly grateful for the opportunity.” Unfortunately Vishal did not have any scene with Sidharth Malhotra physically but they did share the screen virtually. He says,” Unfortunately, we weren't able to film any scenes together. Sidharth's character is on the hijacked flight, while I am stationed on the ground investigating the situation. So, although physically miles apart, I am glad that I shared screen with Sidharth.”
Yodha is written and directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. Talking about them Vishal says, "Working with debutant directors Sagar Amber and Prashant Ojha was not only enjoyable but also a tremendous learning experience. Despite it being their debut film, their expertise in the field of direction was unparalleled. Their meticulous preparation and attention to detail made every shot feel well-crafted. Yet there always was room for creative improvisation. They had given me a freehand to add my nuances in the scene. Collaborating with Director Sagar Amber was particularly rewarding as we went into the intricacies of scene work, lines, and characterisation. His guidance and insights helped me to fully embody my character and bring authenticity to each scene where I am a part of. This collaborative process not only enhanced my performance but also deepened my understanding of the character and the overall narrative.
Having previously collaborated with Sagar and DOP Jishnu sir on "Mardaani 2," there was already a level of understanding that facilitated our work in "Yodha." Working with Pushkar for the first time was delightful, and our shared love for cricket led to some memorable post-pack up matches. Additionally, the presence of several crew members from my earlier film "Mardaani 2" created a familiar and supportive atmosphere on set. Despite primarily shooting with green and blue screens, the assistants were incredibly well-prepared, ensuring that every minor detail was attended to. It was also a pleasure to share screen with Tanuj Virwani, a talented actor and a wonderful individual."
At the end Vishal also shares his emotions on working with Dharma Movies. “They are one of the pioneers in Hindi films. Their reputation and dedication to the craft is undoubtedly the best and I am looking forward to working with them again.”
