The AAP will contest four Lok Sabha seats in Delhi and the Congress three, the parties said on Saturday as they announced their seat-sharing arrangements for the national capital, Gujarat, Goa and Haryana.There are seven parliamentary constituencies in Delhi and all were won by the BJP in the 2019 polls.Addressing a joint press conference here, Congress leader Mukul Wasnik announced that the AAP will contest the New Delhi, the West Delhi, the South Delhi and the East Delhi seats, while his party the Chandni Chowk, the Northeast Delhi and the Northwest Delhi seatsIn Haryana, the Congress will fight in nine Lok Sabha constituencies while one seat from Kurukshetra has been given to AAP, Wasnik said.The Congress will contest from 24 seats in Gujarat while the AAP will try its luck in Bhavnagar and Bharuch constituencies there. The Congress will go solo in Chandigarh and the two Lok Sabha seats in Goa.No seat-sharing deal was announced for Punjab, where the ruling AAP stated earlier it would contest in all 13 Lok Sabha constituencies there.Wasnik said while both AAP and Congress will contest in their respective symbols, they will contest the Lok Sabha polls jointly.

The seat-sharing deals have been announced to "fight the adverse challenges against Indian democracy", the Congress leader said, adding that for the alliance, "country is important and not any party"."Opposition leaders are being arrested. Farmers are facing atrocities. Opposition parties have sidelined their differences and come together. We will upset BJP's strategy. Parties are not only contesting polls individually, we are fighting jointly under the INDIA bloc," Wasnik said.The joint press conference was attended by Wasnik, Arvinder Singh Lovely and Deepak Babaria from the Congress. The AAP was represented by Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Sandeep Pathak.
