The Mumbai Police said that it received a threatning call on Friday around 9 pm with claims about bombs being planted at Dadar station, Byculla station, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and at the residence of legendry actor Amitabh Bachchan.

The phone call was received by the Mumbai's Police main control room which created concern among cops. The Government Railway Police, Railway Protection Force along with the bomb detection and disposal squad, dog squads and local police personnel reached the said locations and carried out a search operation. But nothing suspicious was found, police said, adding that it was a hoax call.

"The person that called the police control room, stated that bombs have been placed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Byculla Station, Dadar Station and residence of actor Amitabh Bachchan. In the search & probe, it was found to be a hoax call," Mumbai Police said, as reported by news agency ANI.

"We also checked all the four bungalows of Amitabh Bachchan from outside to understand if there was any mischief,” a police official was quoted as saying by ANI.

Two people were detained in the case by the Mumbai Police's criminal intelligence unit (CIU). They are being questioned; meanwhile, the security on the locations are raised.
