Karnataka: peaceful bandh not affected normal life

Bharat Bandh in Karnataka has not affected the normal life and remains peaceful.Capital Bengaluru is witnessing many protests from farmers in different parts of the city. A main rally against the centre's 3 agriculture laws started from townhall and culminates at freedom park. Congress party held a protest meeting in vidhansoudha premises in front of Gandhi statue. Opposition leader Siddaramaiah criticized the central government for its anti farmers poliicies and demanded to withdraw recent APMC bill. All Congress legislators participated in the protest before attending the legislature session with black badge.
Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa described the government is farmer friendly and the bundh is total failure.
In many districts, farmers staged demonstration and blocked the highways. Markets are open and buses are plying as usual. Taxis and autos available. Commercial establishments and banks are open. Hospitals and medical shops are heavy security measures are in force.
