Canada: Bishnoi gang claims killing of India origin Industrialist

In Canada, an Indian- origin businessman Darshan Singh Sahasi was killed on Monday in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Sahasi was the owner of a textile company named Canam International. He was shot dead by assailants who arrived in a car and had been waiting outside his house. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang on Wednesday claimed responsibility  for killing an Indian-origin Abbotsford-based industrialist and firing at the house of a Punjabi singer.Bishnoi gang member Goldy Dhillon claimed responsibility for the attack in social media posts which have since gone viral.Goldy Dhillon wrote in his post that Sahasi was involved in drug trade and refused to pay extortion money to the gang and even dared to take action, the post read.
Canadian authorities have launched an inquiry into the killing, though the motive and those involved have not yet been disclosed. Sahasi was a native of Rajgarh village near Khanna district in Punjab. Claiming responsibility for the killing.In another post, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang member claimed the attack was carried out at Channi Nattan's had become close to fellow singer Sardar Khera, a development they said led to the confrontation. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, and there were no immediate reports of injuries.These two incidents come a day after police in Rajasthan arrested Jagdeep Singh alias Jagga, an active member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, in the US.The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been listed as a terrorist entity by Canada, is reportedly linked to more than 700 shooters operating globally. The gang has been involved in several high profile cases including the assassination of rapper and politician Sidhu Moosewala, issuing threats to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, and alleged connection with the pro-Khalistan movement.
