The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has arrested Deepak Yadav, Assistant Vigilance Officer and Tarun, MTS of Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Delhi in a bribery case.The CBI registered the instant case on 18.05.2026 against the accused Deepak Yadav, Assistant Vigilance Officer, Delhi Development Authority, Delhi based on the complaint of a former Dy. Director of DDA. It was alleged that the accused Deepak Yadav, Assistant Vigilance Officer demanded a bribe of Rs. 5 Lakhs to send favorable reply to the parent department of complainant in a vigilance matter against the complainant. After negotiation, the accused agreed to accept an undue advantage of Rs. 3,00,000.
The CBI laid a trap on 18.05.2026 and caught the Deepak Yadav, Assistant Vigilance Officer, while demanding and accepting Rs. 50,000 through the accused Tarun, MTS of DDA, as a part payment out of total bribe amount of Rs. 3,00,000 from the complainant. Both the accused persons have been arrested. Further investigation is under way.
