Varun Tej starrer Operation Valentine already a HIT?

Mega Prince Varun Tej who made his Bollywood debut with Operation Valentine has left the audience quite impressed. And turns out the film is already a success in terms of numbers. As per reports, the non-theatrical rights for the Varun Tej film have been sold for a whopping amount of Rs 50 crores.The budget of the film is Rs 43 crores, so Operation Valentine has already made a profit, leaving aside, its box office numbers too. The non-theatrical rights of the film comprise satellite, digital, audio, and other rights for all languages. Bagging an impressive deal like this only points to the faith Varun Tej has earned in the industry. With this, it also makes him a bankable star on a Pan-India scale.
With this, the makers are now looking to make a lucrative deal from the film's theatrical rights too. Varun Tej who plays an Indian Airforce officer is seen in the film with Manushi Chhillar.

Pan India actress Tamannaah Bhatia pens note for fans as she completes 19 years in cinema

Pan-India star Tamannaah Bhatia has completed 19 years in the film industry, and her fans can't keep calm about it. The actress might have marked her acting debut in 2005 with the Bollywood film ‘Chand Sa Roshan Chehra’ but went on to become the most sought-after heroine in the South film industry. What made her a global phenomenon was her role in SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ wherein she played Avantika. She showcased her versatility with projects such as 'Babli Bouncer', 'Lust Stories 2', and others. In 2023, Tamannaah ruled the box office with Chiranjeevi-starrer 'Bholaa Shankar', made the nation groove to her 'Kaavaalaa' song from Rajinikanth-starrer 'Jailer', and marked her Malayalam debut with 'Bandra'.
Her friend and contemporary Kajal Aggarwal took to Twitter to congratulate Tamannaah for completing almost two decades in cinema. In response, Tamannaah wrote, "Thank you so much Kaju, your unwavering support and love throughout these years have been nothing short of incredible. It's friends like you who make this journey worthwhile."
Addressing fans, Tamannaah wrote, "To all my amazing fans, your dedication and enthusiasm have been the driving force behind my work. I promise to continue creating movies that you all love. Here's to more amazing years, filled with love and countless memories!" On the work front, Tamannaah will be seen in ‘Odela 2’. She also has ‘Vedaa’ with John Abraham and the Tamil film ‘Aranmanai 4’ in her kitty.

Producer Prerna Arora says ‘Dunk’ highlights land-mafia & plight of farmers

Producer Prerna Arora, who has previously supported socially relevant themes in films, is back with yet another poignant movie, titled ‘Dunk’. The movie sheds light on the pervasive issue of the land mafia and how it affects farmers. Directed by Abhishek Jaiswal, the film aspires to raise awareness and trigger conversations about the exploitation of land resources.
Talking about the project, Prerna Arora spoke about how the film highlights the government’s ignorance towards the agriculture sector. She said that she also believes how cinema has the power to bring in a change in society. “Dunk focuses on the urgent need for legal protections, enforcement mechanisms, and support systems to safeguard the rights of farmers. As a society, we must stand united against this menace of land-grabbing, holding perpetrators accountable and advocating for policies that empower and protect our farmers,” Arora opined.
This is not the first time when producer Prerna Arora has lent her support to a project that focuses on a societal issue. Previously, she backed films such as ‘Padman’, ‘Rustom’ and ‘Toilet - Ek Prem Katha’ among others.Her upcoming project, 'Dunk’, not only highlights the land-mafia issue but also offers insights into the challenges faced by farmers and the communities affected due to the activities by the land mafia. The film stars Nidhhi Agerwal, Shivin Narang, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, among others, and is directed by Abhishek Jaiswal.
