As India celebrates its 78th Independence Day, Inspire Films launched of its new YouTube channel, Freshh Mint, with a powerful tribute to the nation. The channel has unveiled a special rendition of the National Anthem, featuring the cast Reshav Bharadwaj, Raviraa Bharadwaj, Siddharth Vakil, Gautam Ahuja, Varsha Sharma, Prateek Parihar, Manu Raj and Nisha Nayaktheir upcoming original series, *‘Aukaat Se Zyaada.’* The anthem video sets the stage for the series’ grand premiere on August 15th, 2024.Aukaat Se Zyaada, the flagship series of Freshh Mint, is a bold narrative that delves into the complex lives of today’s youth, challenging societal expectations and pushing boundaries. How reading Mahatma Gandhi’s letters inspired Ram Alladi to create film ‘Panne’

Renowned International filmmaker Ram Alladi is all set to release his latest historical drama ‘Panne’ (Pages) on September 6th, 2024. On the special occasion of 78th Independence Day, he released a poster to confirm the film's date of release as well as the final trailer of the film. A Computer Engineer settled in New York city and hailing from Hyderabad, Ram Alladi made his debut as a maker with the short film Chiseled (2017) based on Kakatiya Dynasty in Telangana which won several international awards. His subsequent film, ‘Ra’s Metanoia’, won 30 international awards which includes the best director from ‘Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival’, India.

Ra’s Metanoia is one of those films which glorifies some unknown aspects of M. K. Gandhi’s life, which have not been shown in any movie before. This film ran in Hollywood, Los Angeles for two weeks in theater. Alladi said “While I was making Ra’s Metanoia film, I had an opportunity to read more than a thousand letters of Gandhi ji which he received and wrote, from CWMG (Collective works of Mahatma Gandhi) and learnt more about that era. Just to remind the importance of independence for the people who lived in the dungeons and people who were still captivated in those dungeons. The dungeons of social imbalances, I decided to make this film.”

Ekta Tiwari: My Idea of living in an Independent India is being unbiased, liberated and respectful

Actress Ekta Tiwari, who will be seen in Gudiyarani as Flower, says that as India celebrates its 77th Independence Day, living in an independent India means living a life free of bias and wrongful beliefs.She adds that this is the way to truly be free. “My idea of being and living in an independent India is very simple: be unbiased, be liberated, and respect everyone's belief systems and ideologies. When you practice this way of life, you truly live and let live independently. And this can happen in India,” she says.
She adds that people respect the field of entertainment, which places a lot of responsibility on the shoulders of actors and creators to produce quality content. “The contribution of cinema and television to social and cultural growth is undeniable. People today are more inclined to watch and experience historical events or past eras through media, rather than just reading or listening to stories from their grandparents. This places a significant responsibility on our entertainment industry to create content that is truthful, respectful, and entertaining at the same time,” she says. Talking about the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat,’ she says, “This is not just a phrase. If you look at our history, we were, we are, and we will continue to be a Viksit Bharat. Knowledge, infrastructure, technology, and more were taken from Bharat, and attempts were made to erase our roots. Now, when these things are being reintroduced, our younger generation often thinks they originate from elsewhere, not knowing the true history. This is where our industry holds a lot of responsibility.”
