Sheena Chohan plays Lilith- a she demon and Adam’s wife in a Mythological thriller

Sheena Chohan returned to India  on July 4 after shooting in America and has immediately gone to set to shoot her lead negative role of Lillith – a She Devil.Sheena recently wrapped her Hollywood film Nomad, which equaled the Guinness World Record for the film shot in the most countries, and had her film Amar Prem launch in the official India section at the Cannes Film Festival, but now she’s back in action in India she’s completely focused on her new web series.
Lillith is a biblical character – Adam’s first wife, who was banished from the Garden of Eden for not obeying him. She also appears as an evil reflection of the feminine aspect of God. Upon her assertion of equality, she was reclaimed as a symbol of independence.mSheena says:
“I’m so impressed with the producers of this web-series – they have gone to great lengths with the make up and special effects – I was attached to a high wire which sprung me out of a car in a highly detailed prosthetic mask, in front of a 30 meter green screen! I have just returned from my Hollwood film, but wow – coming back to Bombay to special effects like this shows me how the Indian film industry is fast catching up with and overtaking the west.” About her character she says:
“After I wrapped my historical biopic Sant Tukaram, a 15th century film where I play Avali Bai, I was offered the role of Lillith – so I went from one minute playing the wife of a saint, to the next the daughter of a devil! I had to read a lot of fascinating ancient texts – the story is said to have been removed from the bible, which added so much mystery I was hooked. And then, after all the reading and researching character references, the next thing I knew I was in six hours of make-up and then acrobatic training to be hoisted up fifteen feet in the air like an evil superwoman!”
The award-winning international Australian producers behind the supernatural drama, IWIL Productions, under Wilfred Fernandes, just wrapped up shooting the 8 episode series, which uses extensive Green Screen Technology for special effects.

AIIMS Nurse turned poet and actor Gunjan Saini shares her journey

Delhi girl Gunjan Saini, who was part of the 'Gutar Gu' series on Amazon Mini TV is creating all the right buzz in Mumbai currently with her incredible talent in writing. Gunjan was raised in Delhi. Her father was a government employee so she had to change schools a lot. She decided to start her career as a nurse and also started preparing for that. She says, "For my graduation, I took the All India Nursing Exam of AIIMS and got into AIIMS Bhopal and went there for my graduation. Due to peer pressure, I took science in 11th and 12th grades. After that, I was very confused about what I should do, although my father helped me a lot with options. I had a neighbor who was a nurse at AIIMS, and she was earning well. Seeing her, I wanted to pursue nursing, which became my main goal. However, during my journey, I realized that nurses in India are not highly respected. Once, when we were disrespected, the authorities told her that as a nurse, she should learn to accept things, which hurt me a lot as it affected my self-esteem. In my second year of nursing, I wanted to leave and pursue physiotherapy, but my father advised me to finish the course and later explore options during my master's. In my third year, I thought a lot about life and realized that I enjoyed dancing and acting in school. So I decided to choose this as a profession. I told my father I wanted to go to Mumbai to study mass communication. He suggested Pune, but admissions were closed there. So I came to Mumbai in 2018 to pursue my masters in mass communication from Hinduja College.”
Gunjan's short videos on her social media have got a lot of appreciation from her followers. She says,"I have been writing since my school days, but I gave my first performance in Bhopal at my college. I performed at an open mic on a social issue, and when I finished the poetry, many people were crying, which motivated me. I remember my roommate asking if I wanted to pursue this hobby professionally, but at that time, I didn’t see many people making a living as full-time poets, so I was unsure. When I came to Mumbai, I got opportunities for writing and stage performances, so writing became my first priority, and acting became secondary.”
Gunjan, who is multi-talented with skills in writing poetry and lyrics, considers herself an artist first. She adds, "I call myself an artist. I am a poet and writer, as I sometimes write ads. I have written one song and want to write more. Writing songs is like writing poetry for me. I am not a copywriter, as I haven’t written regular ads.”
Gunjan shares her current career focus. She says, "My focus is now on building my social media presence and doing more live shows. I am in touch with a few musicians and am writing songs with them. My goal is to improve my content creation and achieve significant milestones.” When asked about her mentor, Gunjan shares an honest opinion, "Whether it’s writing or acting, I haven’t had a mentor. I find motivation on my own. I usually watch videos when I feel down and become my own mentor. Of course, different people have guided me at different phases. When I started poetry, a few full-time poets gave me hope, and they became friends. Poets like Amandeep Singh, whose videos I watched in the hostel, have helped me a lot in my journey.”

Being fit is being healthy: Hansa Singh

Actress, tarot card reader, healer and occultist Hansa Singh talks about fitness and says, “Being fit is being healthy. Your pathology should tell you all is well. That’s basically your inner health; it should be better to take care of your outer body. As simple as that.” “Gym and diet are both important. But I would tilt towards diet, as it's your diet that makes all your workouts worth it,” she added.
With a diet that is fitness-oriented, she is able to maintain it even during a busy schedule. She added, “As per my friends, I live on love and fresh air. For me, proteins and saturated fats are important. Pure ghee is one ingredient I can’t do without. So if a diet is maintained, health and being fit are not issues. I workout anywhere. As I want to move my body all the more to see if it’s all working well,
"But Hansa doesn’t believe in restricting herself when it comes to working out. She includes walks, gyms, and even yoga. She said, “I can workout anywhere. If my day doesn’t allow time in the day, I begin my day right in bed with various exercises that take care of the entire body. Then I only step out of bed to start my day. For the last two years, I had various leg injuries, so hitting the gym was a challenge. But thanks to my diet and zest for working out, I can now manage my fitness routine."
She is mostly on a light liquid diet and starts her day with a blueberry smoothie for breakfast with whey protein and yogurt. She added, “Lunch could be sattu sharbat or may have a protein bread slice with hummus. My dinner or lunch is the only so-called meal. Drink at least 4 liters of water, and of course I can’t do without my caffeine. Share two fitness and diet tips you follow. Listen to your body. It’s very essential. 6 pack abs is not healthy, but what’s inside is. Eat all that you desire, but in balance. And you should know how to burn it too.”
Hansa also pointed out that mental health is as essential as physical health. “As when you are mentally drained, you tend to binge. In my sphere of work, it’s like non-stop talking to help clients understand their lives and get clarity. This is non-stop, with all seeking my expertise. I do get drained. Sometimes eating food is a luxury.”
What do you do to maintain your mental health? “As I stay by myself, if it gets super hectic and draining, I cut myself off from the world and escape to a movie theater to watch a film - it helps me relax. If there's no good film, I drive out at night, listening to music and unwinding. Basically, it's my me time, with no talking to anyone. Sometimes I treat myself to a spa day for a good massage. Cooking is also very therapeutic."
