Following the historic Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony on January 22, acclaimed South and Hindi film director Priyadarshan has completed a monumental endeavour to document the rich history of the Ram temple in Ayodhya through a captivating docu-series.Invited by the custodians of the temple, Priyadarshan eagerly accepted the opportunity to helm this significant project. "I found the script very interesting. It will showcase the history of the last 500 years and the poignant struggle for the return of Lord Ram to his sacred birthplace," shared the director, emphasizing the depth and significance of the narrative.
Partnering with Doordarshan as the broadcast platform, Priyadarshan delved into the production, dedicated 60 days to meticulously capture the essence of the temple's journey. Reflecting on the challenges encountered during production, Priyadarshan remarked, "It was more daunting than filmmaking. This was indeed the greatest challenge."In addition to interviews, Priyadarshan incorporated dramatic recreations to enrich the storytelling experience.
