CM Thackeray moved back to his family home 'Matoshree'

Ater delivering an emotional speech for the rebels led by Eknath Shinde, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray moved back to "Matoshree" -- his family home -- from his official residence "Varsha"  on Wednesday night.  A huge crowd assembled outside Matoshree in a show of solidarity. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole said CM Uddhav Thackeray has made it clear that there was no proposal to recommend dissolution of the state Assembly. Patole's remarks came in the backdrop of reports that the ongoing political developments in the state could lead to dissolution of the Assembly.

On the other hand,Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde said the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra was an "unnatural alliance" and it was imperative for his party to walk out of the coalition with the NCP and the Congress for its own sake and that of party workers. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday said Uddhav Thackeray will remain the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and the ruling coalition MVA will prove its majority on the floor of the Assembly if needed, an assertion coming in the backdrop of rebellion by senior Cabinet member Eknath Shinde that has put a question mark on the stability of the state government. Sharad Pawar along with NCP leader Supriya Sule and Jitendra Awhad met CM Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday.
