The famous Saras Aajeevika Mela 2024, full of tradition, craft, art and culture, held from 14 to 27 November at the 43rd India International Trade Fair at Bharat Mandapam, Delhi, organized by the Union Ministry of Rural Development and supported by the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), concluded. This year Saras was awarded Gold by ITPO in the Empowering India category. Behind honoring Saras is the tireless effort of 26 years which has been continuously done by the officers and employees of the Union Ministry of Rural Development and National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR). Saras has broken all its records of 26 years in terms of sales in the 43rd IITF organized by ITPO and has done a business of more than eight crores. During the closing ceremony, women of various self-help groups and state coordinators were also honored by giving awards. These awards were given in different categories to encourage them. Along with this, workshops were also organized for women of self-help groups during the Saras Aajeevika Mela. During this, these women were told on various topics through workshops on how to show their products better than the market or in other words, how to tell their USP to the customers. On the closing ceremony joint secretary Swati Sharma, director Rajeshwari SM, under secretary Alok Jawahar, Narendra, Sudheer Kumar Singh and many more officials were present.
