President Draupadi Murmu has said that the consciousness of Dharma-Dhamma is embedded in the core of India and the foundation stone of humanism rests on Dharma. She was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Seventh International Dharma Dhamma Conference in Bhopal on Friday. The President said that in the present times, it is everyone's duty to protect and enhance the system based on morality. She said that in our country, religion has an important place in the social and political system and as always after independence, Dharma-Dhamma has been given an important place in the democratic system.
Mentioning that all the important symbols of Sarnath have been established in all democratic buildings in the country, President Murmu said that Gandhiji had also given the status of Ramrajya to the idea of an ideal state. She said that this 3-day conference will give a new direction to the world and will be helpful in the development of humanism. The President said that for scholars, there are different schools of philosophy. But mystic of the world speak the same language. When realised souls decided to become compassionate teachers or gurus, their traditions came into existence. Many such traditions originated in India and have been flourishing across the world.
