AIADMK announced that there is no alliance with the BJP as of now and a decision in this regard will be taken during the elections.Furious over BJP Tamil Nadu president K. Annamalai’s controversial remarks on Dravidian stalwart C.N. Annadurai, the AIADMK on Monday announced that there was no alliance with the saffron party as of now and that any decision on a poll pact will be decided only during the election.Jayakumar said the AIADMK workers would not tolerate any affront to the late chief minister and that the party had asked the BJP leadership to restrain Annamalai.
"BJP cadres want an alliance with the AIADMK but Annamalai doesn't want an alliance. He always criticises our leaders. He is unfit to be BJP state president," he said in Chennai.The tie up between BJP and AIADMK has soured and the two parties engaged in a war of words ever since Annamalai made critical remarks against Annadurai and late chief minister J. Jayalalithaa.
