Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla participated in the 42nd Diksha Diwas ceremony organized at Bhagyodaya Tirtha in Sagar, Madhya Pradesh and received the blessings of the most revered Niryapk Shramana Muni Pungava Shri 108 Sudha Sagar Ji on Friday, September, 20, 2024.At the meditation camp organized for thousands of devotees in the company of Munishree, Birla said that it is a matter of good fortune to receive the blessings of Gurudev, whose blessings provide new spiritual consciousness and guidance. He added that revered Munivar has touched the pinnacle of spirituality through hard penance and meditation; he is ensuring welfare for the living world through his efforts. He highlighted that the lives of the great Tirthankaras and sages of the Jain tradition dedicated to philanthropy serve as guide for the entire world. He noted that values like kindness, compassion, peace, and humility towards living beings drive global progress.Birla emphasized that Lord Mahavir Swami's teachings have consistently guided India. He stressed the need for non-violence as the supreme principle in today's global scenario. He further said that it is the only mantra which is in the interest of every living being, and is the last hope of human civilization.
