In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces that broke out on Tuesday night in Kanjiullar village of South Kashmir's Shopian district. One of the killed terrorists has been identified as Jan Mohd Lone of Shopian.Besides other terror crimes, he was involved in the recent killing of Vijay Kumar, Bank manager on June 2 in Kulgam district," The identification of the other slain terrorist is being ascertained.

Bank manager Vijay Kumar, a resident of Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, was working in Kulgam district. He was shot dead by terrorists in broad daylight on June 2, amid a spike in targeted killings in the Valley of late.Meanwhile, search operation in the area is going on till the reports last came in.
