The second Guru Pushya Yoga of the year 2024 is falling today( Thursday) on 22 February.The first one was on January 25 this year. This day is considered very auspicious in astrology because on Thursday the Moon transits in the Pushpa Nakshatra of Jupiter. On this auspicious day, shopping, investment, business transactions, worship, chanting etc. are considered auspicious.Today till 4.43 pm the Moon is transiting in Pushya Nakshatra. The ruling planet of this constellation is Saturn. Its presiding deity is Guru Brihaspati.
Due to Moon being in Pushya Nakshatra, its lord Jupiter gets pleased with its worship and bestows abundant wisdom.Pushya is the most prosperous constellation. It conveys the qualities of nurturing nature, best teacher, mentor, motivational speaker, love of milk products, traditional way of living, classical music etc.

Do this work in Guru Pushya Nakshatra, you will get tremendous benefits. The permanent prosperity that enters your house in this Nakshatra lasts for a long time. On this day, there is a tradition to worship Goddess Lakshmi to attain wealth and prosperity. It is considered auspicious to visit a religious place on this day.
It is mentioned in Panini Samhita –
पुष्य सिद्धौ नक्षत्रे सिद्ध्यन्ति अस्मिन सर्वाणि कार्याणि सिद्ध्यः ।
पुष्यन्ति अस्मिन सर्वाणि कार्याणि इति पुष्यः ।। ''
This verse means that all work done during Pushya Nakshatra (Guru Pushya Yoga) is successful. Therefore it is considered the most important among the constellations.
बृहस्पति प्रथमं जायमानो महो ज्योतिष परमे व्योमन ।
सप्तास्यस्तु विजातो रवेणवि सप्तरश्मिरधमत्तमांसि ।।
Rigveda 4.50.4
'Brihaspati, when first appeared in the highest sky (above the Sun), seven-faced in forms of seven rays (ahead of the Sun) with a sound appearance has lowered all darkness.'
Jupiter, when he first appeared in the highest sky (above the Sun), in the form of seven rays (in front of the Sun) with a seven-faced sound form, reduced all darkness.
देवानां ऋषिणांच गुरुं कांचन सन्निभम् ।
बुद्धिभूतं त्रिलोकेश तं नमामि बृहस्पतिम् ।।
i.e.
He is the spiritual master of the gods and sages, and he is as good as gold. I salute Brihaspati, the lord of all three worlds, the embodiment of wisdom.
