Government on Sunday convened an all-party meeting ahead of the Budget Session of Parliament in Delhi. During the meeting, the government sought cooperation from all political parties to ensure the smooth functioning of both the Houses of Parliament. Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Kiren Rijiju, Arjun Ram Meghwal, JP Nadda, Chirag Paswan, Ramdas Athawale, and Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh and Gaurav Gogoi, NCP leader Praful Patel, DMK leaders TR Baalu and Tiruchi Siva, Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi were among those who attended the meeting.

The Congress sought the Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker's position for the opposition in the all-party meeting convened by the government ahead of Parliament session, and raised the issue of paper leaks, including of the prestigious NEET, sources said.Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi said at the meeting that the opposition should be allowed to raise issues in Parliament.Samajwadi Party MP Ramgopal Yadav, the sources said, raised the issue of the Uttar Pradesh government's controversial directive to eateries on the 'kanwariya' route to display the owners' names.
