President Droupadi Murmu has said, India is emerging as a hub for affordable medical tourism and doctors are playing a pivotal role in this progress. She was addressing at a convocation ceremony of AIIMS Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday. President Murmu praised the medical profession as a path to serving humanity. She advised doctors to focus on service orientation, continuous learning and research. She also advocated healthcare for all. The President stressed the importance of holistic health and appreciated AIIMS Mangalagiri’s motto, ‘Sakal Swasthya Sarvada’. She lauded the Cytogenetics Laboratory at AIIMS Mangalagiri as a step towards innovative research and solutions. She expressed confidence that the institute will pioneer advancements in treatments and medical science."The rising participation of women in the medical profession and their significant contributions demonstrate that we are becoming a truly developed society." she said.

The event was attended by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Pratap Rao Jadhav, State Education Minister Nara Lokesh and State Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav.
